Welcome!
I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to joining UNLV, I received my PhD from the University of Iowa and my bachelors degree in Political Science from Grinnell College.
I research public policy (including criminal justice policy, immigration policy, and health policy), racial and ethnic politics, and political behavior in the American states. My primary research agenda focuses on how criminal justice policy and immigration policy shape political orientations, identities, and participation, a process called policy feedback. My work has been published in a variety of outlets including Political Research Quarterly, Policy Studies Journal, and Journal of Race, Ethnicity, and Politics. |
